You have observed one of the important features that make the SmartStops strategy so effective. Every day, after the market closes, the SmartStops risk profiles are optimized per our Smart(R ) analytics, to reflect changes in the stock’s behavior.  You will see our risk price profiles be farther away from the actual trading price range when a strong uptrend is in place vs. tighten significantly to best protect profits when a downtrend is detected.  We purposefully adjust our risk profile prices to keep stocks or ETFs from being triggered unnecessarily. Volatility will play a role in this but it is not the only factor considered.  Learn more here.
